DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Plumber 1 you will perform maintenance, repair, replacement, inspection, and installation on plumbing systems and sewer lines at the Clarks Summit State Hospital that covers over 152 acres with more than 40 buildings. You will install plumbing systems, plumbing equipment, and plumbing fixtures; replace piping to toilets, drains, and sewer lines; and inspect pneumatic thermostats, steam regulators, and flushometers. You will also complete weekly preventative maintenance work orders and maintain accurate records of daily work performed. This role requires the ability to prioritize work and determine the proper tools and materials needed to efficiently complete assignments. In addition, you will inspect air conditioning units, repair hot water baseboard radiators, and maintain pipe freezing equipment. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work a rotating weekend and holiday schedule to include every 12th weekend and holidays.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing components and fixtures; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
