Product Strategy Senior Engineer/Analyst 
     
    - Develop future product strategy and vehicle proposals for the North American market
 - Be subject matter expert representing the voice of the North American customer in development of product and companywide strategies
 
     
     
WHAT YOU WILL DO 
     
    - Develop, prepare, and present product proposals for future vehicles
 - Develop, prepare, and present strategic proposals for topics including feature adoption, powertrain, vehicle trim grade, or other relevant topics
 - Be an advocate for the customer, particularly with respect to North American markets
 - Collaborate cross functionally to ensure our vision for the customer is understood and adopted; work with U.S. sales affiliates to develop one-voice for customers, brands, vehicle segments, etc.
 - Monitor, research, and analyze automotive industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer needs
 - Support corporate strategic initiatives, cross-vehicle line studies, innovation and technology workshops
 - Regularly develop reports and presentations designed for both U.S. and Korean senior management
 - Participate in and conduct benchmarking activities for both HMG and competitor products
 - Monitor feedback on current vehicles and provide recommendations for improvements and lifecycle actions
 - Attend and support automotive and other trade shows; gather industry trends and develop competitive insights to report to upper management in both the U.S. and Korea
 - Quickly respond to Korea R&D and headquarters ad-hoc requests for information and analysis 
 - Support the design, planning, and execution of customer research including one-on-one interviews, ethnographic research, engineering specification reviews, focus groups, ride and drives or immersion events in order to more deeply understand consumers and market segments
 - Create and present market reports and sales analyses to senior management in the U.S. and Korea
 - Travel up to 20% (Domestic and International)
 
     
     
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE 
     
    - Bachelor's degree in appropriate Engineering, Business, or other applicable field of study
 - 5-10+ years of experience in Industry Analysis, Benchmarking, Innovation, Market Research, or Product Planning, ideally in the automotive industry
 
     
       
      - Some automotive experience, including but not limited to: Vehicle evaluation, component testing or teardown, competitive intelligence, program management, customer research, forecasting, strategic planning, quality, vendor management
 - Experience with data analysis. Particularly valuable would be experience with: IQS, NVCS, AutoKnowledge, AutoSource, AutoPacific, mTab and secondary research
 - Expert level of PowerPoint. Comfortable with Excel including pivot tables
 - Proven communication skills, report development, coordination of cross-functional teams, and presentation skills
