As a Housekeeping Manager at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, you'll play a pivotal role in steering the Housekeeping Department, ensuring seamless operations, and delivering top-tier service and cleanliness throughout the rooms in the resort. Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. This award-winning, all-seasons destination features over 746 guest accommodations, the WELL Spa & Salon, two championship golf courses, fitness facilities, a ski hill and terrain park, and 9 unique food and beverage outlets. - Oversee and train all housekeeping employees as directed by the Director of Housekeeping.
- Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and daily inspections of assigned areas and equipment.
- Supervise storage, dilution, and distribution of cleaning products and supplies.
- Communicate regularly with the Director of Housekeeping to address issues, plan, and implement training.
- Manage work schedules, assign tasks, and provide clear instructions to employees.
- Inspect common areas and equipment, addressing tasks requiring immediate action.
- Monitor and control linen supply flow and coordinate with supervisors on daily projects.
- Assist in hiring, disciplinary actions, policy updates, and compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
What do you bring to the role?
- High school diploma required; college education preferred.
- Prior housekeeping supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to chemicals, cleansers, and solvents as part of job duties.
- Ability to operate computers, calculators, and respond to guest comments and requests.
- Communicate effectively in English via phone, radio, or in person with guests, staff, and management.
- Perform physical tasks such as reaching up to 8 feet, pushing/pulling loaded carts requiring 25-30 pounds of force, be mobile throughout the hotel and be able to climb stairs for inspections.
- Understand and follow policies, procedures, chemical labels, and job instructions.
- Flexible schedule required, including availability on days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
