As the Project Manager, you will lead Franklin campus projects under the direction of the Plant Manager. You will be responsible for implementing project management tools, dashboards, and metrics, as per time and budget and will specifically support the project portfolio for the Watts Water Technologies, Inc., Franklin campus. This role is on site.

You Will:

  • Plan and design the scope of all projects on the Franklin campus - establish clear objectives, project plans, timelines with critical milestones, and deliverables.
  • Assign project responsibilities and summarize progress through stage gate process. Report out locally and to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional areas including safety, quality, finance, engineering, operations, and sales and marketing to ensure timely completion of project gates.
  • Allocate and oversee use of personnel, budget, and materials.
  • Identify and resolve potential roadblocks to the project plan, and ensure the project meets all required safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate to internal and external stakeholders throughout planning and execution of project.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 5+ years of experience with a minimum of 3 years of progressive Program/Project Management experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment - Electrical, Mechanical and Software engineering.
  • Proficient with Project Management Office tools - MS Project, WBS, Gantt Chart, Stage Gate and Agile methodology
  • PMP Certificate desirable
  • Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude and working knowledge of fluid power systems and electrical controls. Experience with servo and stepper motor drive systems and working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of NEMA standards and familiar with OSHA machine safety and guarding regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools; Six Sigma Certification preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. This role consists of extended periods of sitting, standing, stooping and walking and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. This position requires the ability to move throughout the plant, office areas, and up and down stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, 80 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position also required the ability to follow safety procedures including: PPE (Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes), Potential Hazards - Bending and Ergonomics - Follow correct lifting procedures.

  • Work in office environment with frequent exposure to a manufacturing/factory environment
  • May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
  • Travel: Less than 10%
