Job Description

What You'll Do:

As Compensation Manager, you'll play a critical role in shaping our total rewards strategy, ensuring fair and competitive pay while integrating newly acquired company compensation frameworks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Compensation Strategy & Pay Structuring - Develop the compensation philosophy, strategy, and job architecture. Develop and manage salary ranges, incentive programs, and job classifications to stay competitive. Create salary benchmark framework (for internal and external benchmarks), conduct annual review of internal salaries compared to external benchmarks and ensure pay is externally competitive, internally equitable, and legally compliant.
  • Compliance & Multi-State Pay Regulations - Ensure alignment with FLSA, pay transparency laws, and tax regulations in all fifty states. Investigate and recommend resolution on classification questions and Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) exemptions.
  • Equity & Acquisition Integration - Lead compensation harmonization across acquired companies to ensure consistency.
  • Market Analysis & Executive Reporting - Provide data-driven insights on pay trends, competitive positioning, and workforce needs.
  • Collaboration Across HR & Business Units - Work closely with Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, and Finance teams.
  • Participate in forums or committees to bring subject matter expertise and thought leadership in making recommendations to the HR leadership on strategy, company standards, procedures, compliance, and metrics.
  • Ensure compensation programs align with performance management principles, are compliant, consistent and in support of the company's program and strategy; support the administration of merit and bonus programs.
  • Manage and review current commission structures, offer recommendations to simply and continuously improve, manage implementation of changes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: 5-7 years in compensation strategy, ideally in high-growth or acquisition-driven environments and with complex sales commission programs
  • Education: Bachelor's in HR, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of multi-state pay compliance, incentive structures, and pay equity regulations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP Lyric), compensation analytics tools, and Excel modeling.
  • Leadership & Influence: Ability to navigate complex integrations, work cross-functionally, and advise on compensation best practices.
