The Political Science Program at Saint Xavier University invites applications for a full-time, annually renewable lecturer. The position is non-tenure track but is annually renewable pending performance, need, and financial ability. The area of expertise is open, but we particularly invite applicants with expertise in urban, state and local politics, and public policy. In addition to the major, the Political Science Program contributes courses to Social Science Secondary Education, International Studies, and the Pre-Law Program, among others, as well as serving general education

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-
- teach 12 credit hours per semester
- mentor students through their course of study, research, and internships
- maintain an engagement with the discipline through an ongoing research agenda
- provide service to the program, college, and university

Qualifications

- Ph.D. in Political Science preferred, ABD will be considered pending sufficient evidence of completion of the PhD by August 2025
- Evidence of effective teaching grounded in evidence-based best practices for teaching and learning
- Evidence of scholarly engagement with the discipline
