Waste Connections is currently seeking aFinancial Systems Trainerto assist in the development and support of our financial software applications for both financial and accounting professionals as well as operational leaders throughout the US and Canada. The Financial Systems Trainer will communicate and structure training for complex business processes and procedures, as well as be a focal point for communications and solutions to resolve internal customer issues.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide 1st line support to field personnel in the troubleshooting and resolution of a variety of financial applications.
  • Prepare user guides for applications
  • Design, develop and maintain content for Accounting SharePoint training site
  • Analyze business processes and perform in-depth work analyses
  • Scope design and testing of new reports and tool enhancements as needed
  • Special projects as assigned

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field. (Accounting / Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline)
  • 3+ yearstechnical/applicationsupport
  • Database development experience preferred
  • An interest in and ability to understand financial reporting, accounting concepts and related accounting data. Previous accounting experience a plus!
  • Experiencedeveloping/troubleshootingsolutions using MS SQL Server, VBA
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and related accounting business systems
  • Experience with Crystal Reports, MS Access, Dot Net
  • An ability to articulate technical topics to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
