Farnsworth Group is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Benefits & Compensation Manager to lead and support all aspects of compensation and benefits administration at Farnsworth Group. This dual-role position is critical in ensuring our offerings remain competitive in the market and equitable across the organization. Reporting to the VP of HR and working closely with business leaders, this role will drive our compensation philosophy, oversee benefits programs, and ensure regulatory compliance while enhancing the overall employee experience.

Job Activities:
Compensation


  • Design, implement, and administer compensation programs including base salary, incentive plans, annual merit cycles, and promotional increases.
  • Conduct job evaluations, FLSA assessments, and departmental compensation reviews to ensure alignment with organizational structure and compliance.
  • Analyze internal and external market data to guide pay recommendations and support informed decisions around offers, promotions, and salary adjustments.
  • Develop and maintain salary structures and compensation bands in alignment with the company's compensation philosophy and market positioning.
  • Partner with leaders across the business to ensure internal equity and competitiveness are upheld across roles and departments.


Benefits Administration


  • Manage the relationship with the company's benefits broker, ensuring alignment with Farnsworth Group's long-term strategy and overall philosophy.
  • Oversee the administration, evaluation, and optimization of all benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, and retirement plans.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to benefits, including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA.
  • Lead the annual open enrollment process, including planning, employee communication, and system updates.
  • Manage leave of absence programs (FMLA, STD, LTD, etc.) and workers' compensation in compliance with company policy and regulations.
  • Evaluate and analyze benefit offerings for financial sustainability, market competitiveness, employee satisfaction, and vendor performance.


HR Strategy & Projects


  • Support HR-related initiatives and strategic projects, including system implementations, policy development, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the HR team and business leaders to ensure programs and practices support employee engagement, retention, and organizational success.



Specific Requirements include:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; HR-related degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in both compensation and benefits functions.
  • Strong experience in the analysis, design, and/or administration of employee benefits programs.
  • Solid understanding of compensation structures, market pricing, and job evaluation.
  • Knowledge of relevant benefits laws and regulations.
  • Experience managing vendor and broker relationships preferred.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a data-driven mindset.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence across departments and at all levels of the organization.
  • HR certification (e.g., CCP, CEBS, PHR/SPHR) a plus.

Salary Range: $80k - $105k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
