Essential Job Duties |
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Scholar to join our research team focused on the epigenetic regulation of plant reproduction and seed development. The successful candidate will function as an independent researcher, contributing significantly to the advancement of project goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent research investigating epigenetic mechanisms governing plant reproductive processes and seed development.
- Perform whole-genome bisulfite sequencing (WGBS) library construction and subsequent data analysis.
- Execute plasmid cloning, Arabidopsis, pennycress, and camelina transformation
- Utilize confocal microscopy and image analysis
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary research team
- Assist in mentoring and supervising graduate and undergraduate students involved in the project
- Manage routine laboratory duties

Department Required Skills |
- PhD in plant biology, genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related degree
- Relevant laboratory experience and experience in training and supervising graduate and undergraduate research

- Experience with whole-genome bisulfite sequencing (WGBS) library construction and analysis
- Proficient in data analysis, plasmid cloning, and confocal microscopy
- Practical expertise in Arabidopsis, pennycress, and camelina transformation protocols.
- Competency in basic plant care
- Strong motivation to work in a collaborative team environment with a focus on high-quality scientific output
- Experience mentoring and providing guidance to graduate and undergraduate students
- Ability to manage standard laboratory duties
