Apply now Job Summary Drexel University College of Medicine (DUCOM), Department of Microbiology and Immunology, invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow to join Dr. Hangjun Ke lab and the Malaria team at Drexel. Dr. Ke's laboratory focuses on the molecular biology of malaria parasites (Plasmodium spp.) and investigates parasite bioenergetics, organellar functions, and host-parasite interactions, with the goal of identifying essential pathways/proteins for the development of novel antimalarial therapeutics. The future postdoctoral fellow will have opportunities to work with other malaria labs within the department. A strong emphasis is placed on career development, participation in national/international conferences, communication skills, grant and manuscript writing skills, and leadership development. The postdoctoral fellow is expected to be highly self-motivated and independent. They will be joining a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary training environment. Essential Functions
Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications * Evidence of publication record in genetics, biology, and/or infectious diseases, with experience performing parasite culture and gene editing. Physical Demands
