Supervises and coordinates departmental operational activities in compliance with all policies, and procedures. This includes control over that area's leads, associates, and equipment.
What we're looking for
- Education: High School completion or equivalent (GED); bachelor's degree preferred in a technical field.
- Experience - Minimum 5 years applicable experience; at least 1 year experience in supervision of manufacturing and/or packaging operations and associates.
- Experience in cGMP manufacturing preferred.
- Prior Chemical manufacturing, cGMP experience is a plus, MS office, SAP experience is a plus.
Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word). Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with production processes and applications within similar industry preferred.
- Highly organized and self-motivated individual who can work independently with little supervision.
- Knowledge of MRP systems preferred.
- Must have strong leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform risk assessment of products and processes and develop corrective measures.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
- Computer literacy applied to scheduling, procedure revisions and data management is required.
- Ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, and lead people in a team environment essential.
- Proven history of reducing costs through process improvements and efficiencies.
- Must be hands-on, collaborative and committed to business improvement processes.

- Enforces and supports regulatory policies, quality system, and work instructions. Ensures accurate completion and/or maintenance of required records, reports, and documentation. Maintains all necessary certification, training, and compliance.
- Plans and assigns work according to the schedule, equipment availability, material availability, and individual skill/abilities for most efficient operation. Anticipates and/or investigates delays, issues, and/or inadequate performance and takes corrective actions.
- Systematically works through processes, along with other relevant departments, to complete daily production requirements. Effectively communicates any deviations with shift schedule completion.
- Ensures employees are trained and cross-trained in the performance of their duties. Assists and instructs personnel as necessary to ensure optimal department throughput. Assist in creation and revision of SOP's.
- Mentors and develops his/her subordinates to optimize their skills sets and establish a career path. Makes effective recommendations for promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Maintain discipline, morale, and harmonious personnel relations. Assists in complaint and event investigation, and audits.
- Drives adherence and accountability of associates and visitors to all safety and security procedures. Responsible for performing safety and security procedures to open and close buildings and facilities.
- Ensures proper care and handling of company property in accordance with policy and instruction, including equipment and instruments (proper use, storage, care, verification, calibration, maintenance, and/or repair) and materials (use, storage temperature, and location).
- Ensures department organization (including facilities, materials, tools, and equipment) is kept at required levels in accordance with industry standards, company policy, LPA responsibilities, and 5S program.
- Controls labor costs and overhead by maintaining quality and increasing throughput with effective utilization of labor, automation, and scheduling resources. Develop, lead, and execute continuous improvement/process excellence and interdepartmental improvements.
- Develops, monitors, and maintains department budget and related performance metrics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
