Production Group Leader - Finishing

We are seeking a full-time Group Leader for our Finishing Department. An associate in this role must be able to run the finishing lines, to include zinc plating and/or powder coating .The candidate selected for this position must successfully complete screening requirements and a probationary period of 400 working hours. Please note that this opportunity is part of a bargaining unit rooted in seniority principles. Consequently, shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift.

Job Responsibilities:

• Mechanical operation of the lines
• Electrical operation and set-up of the lines
• Chemical analysis and evaluation
• Chemical and metal additions
• Minor line maintenance (Not mechanical or electrical)
• Rack Maintenance
• Troubleshootingof all of the above
• Coordination with Maintenance and Production Personnel
• Record keeping consistent with the ISO standard procedures
• Production tracking and recording/computer entry
• Coordination of the activities of the line operators
• Responsibilityfor the load and unload scheduling based on production requirements and line efficiency
• Required to demonstrate proficiency in utilization of test equipment as needed
• Required to perform as a finishing operator as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Priorleadership experience
• Strong organizational and technical skills
