Overview

We are seeking dependable, safety-minded individuals to join our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) team as RT/CR Trainees. This entry-level position is designed to provide on-the-job training in Radiographic Testing (RT) and Computed Radiography (CR) methods, leading toward certification and long-term growth in the NDT industry.

You'll gain real-world experience in industrial settings (such as aerospace or energy), supporting certified technicians while learning to operate X-ray and gamma-ray equipment, process digital images, and follow strict safety and compliance procedures.

Salary: $21- $23/hour (Depending on Experience)

Shift: 1 (5am - 1:30pm), 2 (1 - 9:30pm), weekend hours

Differential: depending on shift, $1 - 3.00/hour



Responsibilities

    Assist with setup and execution of Radiographic Testing (RT) and Computed Radiography (CR) procedures.
  • Handle equipment including radiation sources, imaging plates, and processing systems.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to radiation exposure and site-specific requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and reports.
  • Participate in classroom and hands-on training toward NDT Level I certification and qualified.

Skills/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is a plus.
  • Technical training, trade school, or military experience in mechanical/electrical fields is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to work in physically demanding environments (outdoors, confined spaces, elevated platforms, etc.).
  • Willingness to pursue NDT certifications (RT, CR, etc.).
  • Travel to job sites as needed once qualified and certified (travel requirements may vary).

Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift/maneuver up to 50 lbs and work in awkward positions

  • Comfortable wearing PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, harness

  • Capable of climbing ladders, entering confined spaces, and standing for extended periods

NOTE: This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. * 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
