Research Assistant (Limited Appointment)

Our Santa Monica Hospital is seeking to hire a Research
Assistant to join our Orthopaedic Surgery Department. You will be part of our
research team focused on characterizing translational regenerative medicine
approaches for the treatment of orthopaedic/musculoskeletal
injuries.Primary duties include:

• Managing lab
  equipment and supplies (inventory and maintenance)
• Maintaining
  appropriate records of cell lines, samples, and nitrogen tanks
• Storing and
  disposing chemical and biological waste
• Assisting with
  preparation of equipment for survival surgeries
• Assisting with
  vivo fluorescence and bioluminescence imaging
• Participating
  in weekly lab meetings
• Performing data
  collection, analysis, and quality checks
• Maintenance of
  mouse colonies

Please note: this is a 12 month limited position that may
convert to career

Salary range: $26.52-31.63hr

Bachelor's
degree in engineering related field (preferred)

Comfort
working with lab animals

Proficiency
with Microsoft Office Programs
