The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Division of Rheumatology is seeking a Technician B to support multiple research trials focused on novel drug target discovery. This role will assist research coordinators, the Principal Investigator (PI), and the research manager in the conduct of clinical trials, including NIH and industry-sponsored studies. The Technician B will report to and be supervised by the study investigators, Clinical Research Manager, and Division Administrator.

Responsibilities



  • Supports the PI by performing data entry.
  • Orders research supplies as needed.
  • Processes laboratory samples according to study protocols.
  • Assists with data preparation for analysis and reporting.
  • Maintains organized study files and documentation.
  • Assists with Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.
  • Supports adherence to all relevant regulatory compliance standards.
  • Retrieves data from participating study sites.
  • Performs data entry from study site information.
  • Provides ongoing reports to the PI on study progress and data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or related science or equivalent combination of education, training and experience


Other Requirements



  • The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo drug screening prior to a final offer of employment being made
  • Participation in the medical surveillance program

    • Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure


  • Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
