OVERVIEW

The FP&A Sales Analytics Analyst will play two critical roles within ASR's Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.

As the business partner to ASR's New Product Development (NPD) organization, this role will partner with research & development teams to launch successful products. The position will work with innovation managers, food scientists, and packaging engineers to develop cost accounting and profitability projections for a wide variety of projects that are the engine of ASR Group's growth. As a leader within ASR's New Product Development (NPD) organization, this person will provide analysis, insight and recommendations to senior ASR leadership - including ASR's Chief Science & Innovation Officer, SVP of Sales & Marketing - while liaising continuously across ASR Group's global functions including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance.

As a member of ASR's Sales Analytics team, this role will lead analyses and reporting related to ASR's US commercial business. The FP&A Sales Analytics Analyst will learn ASR's sales processes by working closely with Sales leaders across each of ASR's sales channels. This role will contribute to sales bids, budgets and forecasts as well as improve or create reporting on sales performance to ASR's executive leadership. Additionally, this role will conduct analyses related to pricing, customers, product profitability, or other ad-hoc topics as identified by senior Finance or Sales leadership.

And as a member of ASR's FP&A team, this role will also be staffed on high visibility, cross-functional analysis assignments that enable key business decisions and shape ASR strategy. These assignments offer opportunities to innovate and experiment with analyses and grow professionally through collaboration with departments across the organization.

This position is a key part of the talent pool development for the ASR Finance organization. The FP&A Sales Analytics Analyst reports to the Senior Manager, Sales Analytics.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Build comprehensive and compelling business cases for new products by conducting market assessments, developing new product costing, and preparing financial forecasts that ensure projects accurately consider all revenue, cost and profit implications
  • Track and analyze financial performance of select products, customers and categories to inform decision outcomes
  • Serve as financial advisor to ASR's Chief Scientist & Innovation Officer
  • Conduct analyses on pricing, customers, product profitability, or other ad-hoc topics as identified by senior Finance or Sales leadership
  • Create and deliver insightful reports on Sales performance to senior Sales and Finance leadership
  • Key player in directing and building ASR's annual budget, to include detailed evaluation of all budget plans, commercial budgets compilation, and final presentations
  • Partner with Sales in bid activities to drive accuracy and profitability in the company's contracting process
  • Use critical thinking and analysis to address other cross-functional, ad-hoc business problems



WORK EXPERIENCES



  • 3+ years of relevant and progressive professional experience



EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



  • B.A. or B.S. required. Relevant course work in Accounting, Corporate Finance, and the Sciences preferred

  • Organized and capable of prioritizing and managing multiple activities simultaneously



LOCATION OF ROLE



  • Hybrid work model that allows for a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration
  • Based in Yonkers, NY, Baltimore, MD, or West Palm Beach, FL
  • Some travel required (likely 5%-10% of the time)



SALARY PAY RANGE: $77,500-143,500

The expected pay range for this position is $77,500-$143,500 and will depend on the candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
