We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement / Power Platform Technical Director to join our Application Development & Integration team. This role involves building and maintaining on-shore and off-shore software engineering teams, leading client pursuits and projects, client and internal travel, continuous process improvement, software architecture, and engineering strategy and managing change.

The position is fast paced and requires the individual to maintain team delivery quality while guiding the team through continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires the individual to be highly engaged with peer leaders to deliver client solutions through multi-functional teams. The individual must be passionate about building highly engaged and effective teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define engineering team strategies and execute key initiatives for continuous improvement.

  • Lead client pursuits and provide solution architecture and technical designs.

  • Assist in setting team standards and enforcing delivery quality.

  • Manage a portion of the team's financial performance.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client contacts.

  • Provide guidance and support to other leaders and software engineers.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the software engineering field (Microsoft preferred).

  • Previous experience in consulting
  • Experience with Power Platform technologies, in particular Microsoft Dataverse.

  • Proficiency in source control tools such as GitHub Enterprise, or Azure DevOps.

  • Familiarity with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.

  • Experience leading geographically distributed software engineering teams.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with secure software development lifecycle processes with attention to security and risk management.

  • Practice experience with Azure serverless technologies, including Azure Message Queues, Azure File Services, Azure Functions, and Azure Key Vault.

  • Strong system design and development methodology experience; Domain Driven Design preferred.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dataverse customization capabilities, including plugins, custom workflow assemblies, web templates, and Liquid scripting language.

  • Experience with Power Apps Control Framework (PCF) components and React.js.

  • Understanding of web service architectures (RESTful APIs, WebAPI, OData, GraphQL).

  • Experience customizing packaged software; specifically Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

  • Proven ability to scale and mature software development teams and methodologies.

  • Demonstrated commitment to lead through service.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $122,300 - $245,900
