Shipping and Receiving Operator / 1st Shift

Performs a wide range of procedures following standard instructions to complete shipping papers, pack, label, address, and load on appropriately selected method of shipping.

This is a 1st Shift position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive raw materials and other purchased goods, review packing slip for proper quantities and submit for proper documentation processing.
• Deliver goods to proper locations after completion of the receiving process.
• Operate various workstations to process outbound shipments.
• Complete all required transactions in SAP.
• Complete shipping papers correctly, including export documents.
• Recognize unusual conditions and report to appropriate Supervisor and/or Lead.
• Operate forklift, load and unload trucks for best methods of shipment.
• Become cross trained to perform many types of tasks.
• May be required to perform other duties as required by Supervisor.
• Must practice excellent housekeeping skills and maintain equipment.
• Adhere to all Safety procedures.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Proficiency with computer inquiries and transactions.
• Work well in teams.
• Must be able to climb, bend, reach, and lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be proficient in using an SAP/ERP system.
