HSSE Specialist (Environmental Health & Safety) - JLL What this job involves: The HSSE Specialist is responsible for implementing and managing client environmental health and safety programs on third shift. In this role, you'll be empowered to thrive while ensuring facility compliance with all relevant regulations and fostering a strong client safety culture where all employees remain safe. You'll embrace innovative ways of working as you identify operational risks, conduct assessments, and work collaboratively with teams locally and across various stakeholders to maintain the highest safety standards and regulatory compliance. What your day-to-day will look like: * Identify and evaluate operational environment, health & safety (EHS) risks and conduct assessments to ensure alignment with regional strategy * Execute EHS training programs based on identified risks and ensure workforce training meets business and legislative requirements * Monitor and advise on client EHS requirements and applicable references in the Scope of Work, ensuring regulatory compliance onsite * Work collaboratively with contractors to identify and implement corrective actions for deficiencies or safety issues * Attend essential meetings including All Hands, Stand Downs, Safety Committees, and Activity Briefings * Investigate and analyze incident reports involving work-related injuries, recommending measures to prevent recurrence * Perform floor walks and observe work activities, providing coaching and feedback to ensure proper safe work behaviors Required qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational safety and health, or related field, or equivalent experience * 3+ years of experience in environmental health and safety * Strong understanding of environmental health and safety regulations * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Availability to work third shift schedule Preferred qualifications: * Occupational health and safety certifications (ASP, CSP, or other BCSP certifications) * OSHA certifications * Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis * Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks * Experience in contractor safety management * Background in safety training program development Location: * Fort Wayne, IN Work Shift: * Third Shift Location: On-site -Fort Wayne, INIf this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet all the requirements.
