Senior Sales & Use Tax Analyst ajc MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 3 years sales and use tax experience in Corporate Tax or Public Accounting PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in manufacturing environment Experience with OneSource Tax Determination and Compliance Experience with certificate management software ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Responsible for timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns and reconciliations. Maintain exemption certificate software and tax determination application. Identify where exposures exist and resolve Assist with governmental sales and use tax audits Assist with and ensure month-end close deadlines are met Other Duties as assigned and the following: Review the initial determination of taxation on purchase invoices and identify areas of opportunity. Perform reverse audits where needed Advise Sales & Use Tax Supervisor of areas of opportunity and strategies for minimizing tax exposures Conduct technical research and documentation, as needed KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficiency in SAP Proficiency in CCH or other tax research tools Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to deal with shifting priorities and deadlines Level of Independence: This position acts independently under the direction of the Sales & Use Tax Supervisor. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
