Lead Sanitation

Pay range: $29.00 - $31.00 based on experience/qualifications.

Hours: Shifts will be 2nd and 3rd shift and will vary depending on business needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:

Oversee the sanitation team, including assigning tasks, coordinating workflows, and providing guidance and support.

  • Sanitation and Cleaning:

Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization procedures are followed for all areas of the plant, including production equipment, food contact surfaces, and non-food contact areas like break rooms and locker rooms.

  • Compliance and Regulations:

Understand and enforce all applicable food safety regulations and company policies.

  • Inspection and Auditing:

Conduct regular inspections of the plant and equipment to identify potential issues, document findings, and ensure compliance with standards.

  • Training and Development:

Provide training to sanitation team members on proper cleaning and sanitization techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.

  • Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate records of cleaning and sanitization activities, including equipment maintenance logs and inspection reports.

  • Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety requirements, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Problem Solving:

Identify and address sanitation issues, including equipment malfunctions, leaks, and excessive chemical or water usage.

  • Continuous Improvement:

Participate in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and other sanitation-related initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment, preferably in a dairy setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving skills.
