Job Title: Marketing Specialist

Position Overview:

This role supports the agency by working closely with the Marketing and Community Engagement Director to create marketing materials, print and digital, that are clear, concise, consistent, and correct. This role will also assist with organizing and documenting events, maintaining and updating website content, website and search engine optimization, social media content production and management, and other areas as needed. The Marketing Specialist will be an active partner in developing and fostering community relationships and building a positive presence with the community, both leading to increased awareness of the services provided by Heritage.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Demonstrated above average computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel;
  2. Proficient in marketing and public relations;
  3. A general understanding of behavioral health treatment and services;
  4. Strong interpersonal skills;
  5. Ability to work as a team player;
  6. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere, etc.)
  7. Ability to tolerate ambiguity, uncertainty, and change;
  8. Open-minded willingness to learn;

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize tools such as the Adobe Creative suite programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere, etc.) and other design tools to create and manage content for the website, newsletter, event fliers, social media platforms, etc.;
  2. Collaborate with Marketing & Community Engagement Director on social media management, website maintenance, print materials, and digital content creation, including photo, graphic, and video content creation, to promote organizational growth and development;
  • Maintain knowledge of marketing trends, developments, and best practices including search engine marketing (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), advertising, public relations, and other tools to promote our brand;
  1. Provide assistance and consultation for internal initiatives such as but not limited to recruitment, organizational development, and growth;
  2. Organize, photograph, document, and participate in internal team events and external community events;
  3. Ensure branding standards are consistent throughout all materials representing Heritage;
  • Provide support to the Marketing and Community Engagement Director and fill in as needed;
  • Attend and participate in internal and external meetings.

Education and/or Licensure Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field;
  2. Minimum of 21 years of age;
  3. A valid driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of automobile insurance coverage are required.

Heritage also offers the following with this position:

Salary Range: $24.00 to $30.00 per hour (dependent on education and experience)
