Position Responsibilities

As a UX Design Strategy Leader, you will drive design innovation, design excellence and operational efficiency for our growing UX organization. You'll shape the future of our solutions by leading a talented team of designers and we're looking for someone who is execution focused and excited about building culture, process, and empowering the team to do its best work. This role balances leadership with cross-functional collaboration to ensure our products deliver exceptional user experiences.

  • You have a proven ability to work cross-team with product owners, scrum masters, designers, and developers.
  • You have thorough knowledge of the user-centered design process and iterative development.
  • You champion user-centered design principles and can navigate the complexity of enterprise software. workflows.
  • You have knowledge of enterprise software design patterns and can identify opportunities to elevate the user experience.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead and manage a team of UX Designers working across multiple products in our portfolio.
  • Empower, mentor and develop design talent, fostering a culture of design excellence and innovation.
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to define, design and bring new solutions to market.
  • Drive for consistency and help define what great looks like to ensure quality.
  • Balance process rigor with the need to make an impact in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Serve on the Design Leadership team to advance operational maturity and execute our design strategy.
  • Foster bottom-up innovation while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Guide design decisions using both qualitative insights and quantitative metrics.
  • Elevate the organization's design maturity by championing design thinking methodologies.

Qualifications


  • 6+ years of product design experience with at least 2+ years leading design strategy for enterprise software.
  • Experience with B2B or enterprise software applications with multiple user touch points.
  • Proven success partnering with product and engineering teams to deliver successful software solutions.
  • Experience translating complex business requirements into intuitive user experiences.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking and design solution development for enterprise users.
  • Familiarity with current design and management tools (Figma, Sketch, Jira, etc.).
  • Knowledge of design systems implementation in complex product ecosystems.
  • Understanding of accessibility guidelines and enterprise software compliance requirements.

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $81500.00 - $142750.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
