What you'll do:

The Editorial Manager of Client Success reports to the Editorial Director of The Resource Desk, The Trade Desk's content marketing platform. The Editorial Manager is responsible for excavating The Trade Desk's most compelling customer success stories and sharing them internally and externally. The ideal candidate has a journalist's nose for a strong story, a project manager's ability to create operational workflows across global teams, and a marketer's ambition to highlight our clients' success in a 360-degree approach. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the global marketing department by managing the case study creation process, ultimately sharing client success stories in formats ranging from promotional videos to news articles, press releases, social media posts, and more.



  • Work closely with Editorial, Product Marketing, Education, Data and Insights, Communications, Creative, Brand Marketing, and Trader Engagement teams to find, track, and produce compelling case studies.


  • Continue to iterate and refine what a gold-standard case study is for The Trade Desk, identifying compelling ways to tell those stories while utilizing our various content engines.


  • Conduct competitive analysis to stay ahead of storytelling trends and formats.


  • Develop a global system for managing case study requests, proactively hunting down the most persuasive and newsworthy stories, and manage the process from development to distribution.


  • Serve as a writer and editor for case studies as needed, working with internal stakeholders and freelancers to shape the narrative.


  • Serve as the point of contact for global business development and agency leads to help source compelling success stories in a way that strengthens client relationships.



Who you are:



  • A strong writer and editor with excellent storytelling prowess and a background in marketing, journalist, copywriting, or branded content.


  • Highly inquisitive, with experience as a reporter or researcher a plus


  • Skilled project manager with demonstrated experience of effective prioritization and collaboration skills


  • Someone with pro-level skills in digital content development, slide deck/presentation creation, marketing production, and promotional asset creation/management.


  • A savvy business partner who can influence and educate various teams, upholding processes, and managing relationships.


  • An adaptable professional with great executive presence, presentation skills, and the ability to work efficiently to deliver on aggressive goals

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$102,400 $155,700 USD
