Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Solutions Architect to provide PeopleSoft architecture design, team leadership, and complex problem-solving supporting the execution of a large size, multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP). The Solutions Architect V will be assigned a unique PeopleSoft technical area and will serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for this area. The Architect V will lead his/her capability team in the development and delivery of software products/updates. The Architect V will coordinate with the Portfolio Team in supporting the maintenance of the ART Backlog. While the Architect V will be proficient in solving multi-faceted problems without extensive assistance from other staff-members, collaboration with the various Agile Teams will be a common aspect of the position. As a high-level SME, the Architect V will also participate in meetings with upper-level management such as the Release Manager, Configuration Manager, System Team Manager, and Program Manager. The Architect V should be capable of producing well-written reports on his/her capability area and the data involved. These reports are to be read by the Program Manager and potentially the Army client. The Solutions Architect V should serve as a positive mentor for junior employees, coaching team members as needed and providing specialist training.



Responsibilities

    Leads team of specialists to ensure consistency within delivery of all software products.
  • Acts as member of the Portfolio Operations team responsible for the wholistic integrated AMP design.
  • Responsible for Epic and Feature writing and maintaining the ART Backlog.
  • Identify User Stories, determine necessary configurations and customizations.
  • Provide PeopleSoft specialist training to agile teams in the areas of HCM, Time & Labor, FSCM, Global Payroll, or Data Conversion/Interfaces.
  • Identify foundational data needed, ensuring backlog items exist necessary to support design.
  • Act as technical subject matter expert for assigned PeopleSoft technical area.
  • Ensures teams are meeting technical standards in design and development.
  • SME-level knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.


Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 6 or more years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC and/or private sector preferred.

Skills/Qualifications: Certifications in Peoplesoft, and Agile or SAFe for Teams preferred.

Clearance Requirements: This position requires a current Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Work Location: Work location will be in Arlington, Virginia 2 days on-site with a hybrid option. Occasional travel may be required.
