Essential Job Duties	The NC- MSEN Pre-College Program provides STEM enrichment for all students who live in central and eastern North Carolina through various activities such as Saturday Academy, STEM competitions, and summer camps. The MSEN program will host multiple summer camps and employ a temporary teaching assistant for May-August. The teacher assistant will attend planning meetings, assist the lead teachers with camp instruction, escort students to the dining hall for meals, serve as a chaperone on field trips, and drive students on any university vans to field trips. In addition, if the camp is residential, the teaching assistant will lead other student workers in developing engaging evening activities with the camp attendees. The teaching assistant will perform other duties at the MSEN director's and his staff's direction.

Minimum Experience/Education	Bachelor's degree in Education
Department Required Skills	Strong organizational skills; Must be able to communicate effectively with others; Must pass a background check and drive a 15-passenger van;
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education	Experience working with K-12 students and teachers in informal STEM programs such as Saturday programs and summer camps. Experience working with technology with students; experience with assessment of student behavior and ability to make quick adjustments; Degree or education must be in STEM or elementary education with the intention of teaching
