FUNCTION: The Business Data Analyst supports and contributes to business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights related to business performance used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:



  • Uses statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy tools including dashboards, infographics, reports, and models to inform, draw conclusions and support decision making.
  • Mines, processes, and analyzes internal and external data using KPIs, business results, industry sources, competitor intelligence, and customer information.
  • Creates status and summary reports for account representatives and clients.
  • Develops a good understanding of the business's model, objectives, issues, and challenges by interacting and collaborating with users and stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to create and manipulate existing reports using various databases and software options.
  • Accountability to deadlines and quality of work.
  • Enthusiasm for forming and maintaining relationships between various teams to foster communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, both orally and in writing, at all organizational levels.
  • Proven organization and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective presentation skills and ability to lead internal meetings and presentations.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build strong, positive client relationships and develop effective working relationships with other departments within the Cass organization.
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to established timelines within the department with minimal guidance.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and databases.


MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a technical field, preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence/reporting or similar technical data solutions.
