Hardware Validation/Test Automation

Automated hardware testing. Writing automation software targeting automated test equipment and hardware devices under test to enable our design validation test cycles. The ideal candidate is a hardware test engineer with significant Python experience. Testing system level hardware kits that go into a vehicle to make it autonomous. Automotive experience would be helpful, but not strictly required.

In this role, you will

  • Develop and implement a test plan for verifying and validating hardware operation of complex systems.
  • Deploy scripts/software to test systems, analyze data, and create test reports.
  • Investigate failure root cause and help drive product improvements.
  • Support hardware design team with bring-up, experiments/evaluations, and measurements.
  • Setup a test rack with networking on linux based OS.


Required Qualifications
  • Excellent problem solving and software/hardware debugging skills in Python.
  • Experience in measuring, testing, analyzing complex systems.
  • Experience with testing and characterizing communication protocols such as TCP/UDP, CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, and UART.
  • Proficiency in using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, electronic loads, or logic analyzers.
  • Experience working in a Linux environment.
  • Knowledge of shell scripting.


Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with dashboard, visualizations and database systems.
  • Experience with Github and CICD pipelines.
  • Experience with build systems such as Bazel.



Estimated Min Rate: $70.00
Estimated Max Rate: $75.00
