Description
Our Semel Institute of Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Patient Care Coordinator to join the UCLA Tele-Mental Health Hub Program. The program provides telehealth outpatient, mental health services to the AV-UPP and the Stand Program at ELAC, our collaborating partners. You will provide administrative and academic support to the support. Primary duties include:
Salary Range: $29.42/hr. - $42.14/hr Qualifications
Previous experience in a medical office setting Familiarity with University, federal, state, private, and non-profit funding agencies 'guidelines and policies relevant to DMH contractual policy, compliance, cost allocation, and reimbursement (preferred) Working knowledge of Medi-Cal, HMO's, PPO's, third party payors, etc., authorizations and eligibility requirements and regulations Extensive knowledge and ability to navigate local and state agencies including LA County DMH, LA County DCFS, Southern California Regional Centers, University Compliance Office, University Legal (preferred) Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook e-mail and basic knowledge of PC applications Ability to speak Spanish (preferred) Ability to operate Dictaphone equipment and transcribe medical reports, manuscripts, etc. Skill in performing basic arithmetic Ability to work independently and exercise appropriate decisions with minimum supervision Strong communication skills to interact with persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds Experience in working as part of a team, establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with all staff members, management and the public Skill in organizing and prioritizing assignments |
