Our program is highly selective, hosting only a handful of interns each year, ensuring personalized attention and ample opportunities to work closely with BlueHalo team members. BlueHalo has opportunities available for Student Research Assistants to support research on the fabrication and characterization of robust electronics at the Materials & Manufacturing Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in Dayton, Ohio.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Utilize a class-100 clean room environment, including state-of-the-art thin film deposition and lithography tools to conduct basic research into the fabrication process optimization of novel microelectronic devices
  • Assess material quality and suitability for device performance using fundamental materials characterization techniques including AFM and XRD
  • Conduct basic electronic transport experiments to assess material and device performance including DC I-V and ferroelectric switching via PUND



Requirements:



  • Due to the nature of this position, U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must be working toward a BS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Relevant course and lab work on device fabrication and characterization and microelectronics preferred
