Device Fabrication and Characterization Summer Student Research Assistant

BlueHalo has opportunities available for Student Research Assistants to support research on the fabrication and characterization of robust electronics at the Materials & Manufacturing Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in Dayton, Ohio.

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize a class-100 clean room environment, including state-of-the-art thin film deposition and lithography tools to conduct basic research into the fabrication process optimization of novel microelectronic devices
• Assess material quality and suitability for device performance using fundamental materials characterization techniques including AFM and XRD
• Conduct basic electronic transport experiments to assess material and device performance including DC I-V and ferroelectric switching via PUND

Requirements:

• Due to the nature of this position, U.S. Citizenship is required
• Must be working toward a BS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related discipline
• Relevant course and lab work on device fabrication and characterization and microelectronics preferred
