Environmental Health Safety Manager Hillsboro, New Hampshire, United States - OSI USA Danvers What we expect

OSRAM SYLVANIA is the #1 lighting manufacturer in North America and a worldwide leader in lighting solutions. We are seeking an experienced Environmental/Safety Manager to maintain our outstanding safety record.

In this role, you will lead the Safety and Environmental Programs for the Automotive Division of OSRAM. You will ensure compliance with all OSHA, EPA, State and Federal Regulations. You will effectively and proactively protect the health and safety of our associates in order to prevent injuries.

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of the Safety Program
  • Management of the Chemical - MSDS inventory
  • Effectively comply with of all Hillsboro Safety and Environmental Programs
  • Development and facilitation of EHS training programs and orientations
  • Lead Hillsboro safety teams, monthly safety & housekeeping tours and inspections
  • Assistance with appropriate safety and environmental corrective actions, including employee discipline.
  • Development of continuous improvement plans for the Hillsboro Safety and Environmental Programs in order to assist us in the maintenance our ISO 14001 certification
  • Work with the local Fire Department and Commissions for plant Life Safety Code Inspections, Evacuation Drills and other permit-related needs
  • Prepare environmental impact statements and apply for new permits and renewals.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations
Who we are looking for

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in occupational or industrial safety, environmental or related field of study, and 3+ years of relevant experience are preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Ability to provide strong and positive leadership to all associates in the area of EHS
  • Available on all 3 shifts to meet with associates and work with supervisors
  • Good organizational and presentation skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
