Job Overview

Komatsu America's product line is diverse and covers over 60 different model machines. The individual in this position will require good knowledge of the structure and function and operation of each of these machines. Factory recovery of KNA claims will require good collaboration with global factories and proactive management of claim financial data, to maintain expected levels of financial recovery. Understanding the QA information embedded in the claims is the key driver for analyzing areas of product improvement and is used by the technical centers and manufacturing plants to determine engineering priority to drive product improvements.

This position is responsible for supporting warranty and quality functions within the Product and Services Division Services Division related to Factory/Vendor Recovery. This role will also have the responsibility to compile data and develop indicators to measure and report performance of KNA Corporate Vendor Recovery. Establish monthly vendor recovery reporting. Work with KLTD and affiliated manufacturing facilities to identify areas of claim recovery improvements. Identify performance gaps, develop and implement effective solutions that define the value for the company.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Establish monthly vendor recovery reporting. Work with global manufacturing plants to identify and measure performance using warranty claim metrics. Identify performance gaps, develop and implement effective solutions that define the value for the company.
  • Develop vendor/ factory recovery strategy based upon best practices and implement across other KNA locations. Specifically work with plant QA and Parts operations to deploy such vendor recovery processes to streamline efforts with overseas manufacturing facilities.
  • Support the adjudication of standard warranty claims and varying additional claim categories that reinforce factory QA best practice efforts.
  • Identify claim adjudicator and DB administrator processing areas of improvement based on vendor (factory) recovery results. Define deficiencies and develop solutions to improve recovery percentages.
  • Validate that data entered into the company's internal IT systems is accurate and complete. In addition, look for future ways to streamline systems and process related to claim management and vendor recovery.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred or 3~5 years of applicable working experience.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills working across multiple systems, management levels and functions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, claims and standard operating procedures. Working knowledge of electronic data management.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal personnel and Distributors
  • Basic Microsoft EXCEL workbook skills needed to create ad hoc reports. SAP functional skills will be helpful, but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong time management skills
  • Knowledge of MS Powerpoint and other common MS Office products.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI and MS VISIO is a plus

Pay & Benefits

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays between $58,300 and $72,870. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.

Employees may be eligible for a bonus based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of Komatsu.
