Job Summary

  • We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Forward Deployed Software Engineers FDSE to join our dynamic team
  • FDSEs embed directly with our customers to configure Palantir existing software platforms to solve their toughest problems
  • Unlike traditional software engineers who focus on creating a single capability for many customers FDSEs enable many capabilities for a single customer

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with clients to understand their needs design solutions and deploy applications Iterate closely with customers to address their specific requirements
  • Develop and configure Palantirs software platforms to solve complex problems for customers Implement solutions in collaboration with end users
  • Handle data integration and real time data processing tasks including event handling event correlation and real time event processing
  • Build and deploy Gen AI models and agentic AI using AIP to enhance data driven solutions
  • Create efficiency and modernize processes through workflow automation and orchestration on Palantir Foundry
  • Generate comprehensive reports using Contour and Quiver to provide insights and support decision making
  • Design and manage ontology objects to ensure consistent data representation and integration
  • Ingest data from Kafka producers and manage Kafka partitions to support real time data processing
  • Implement robust mechanisms for handling failures and ensuring system reliability

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in software engineering data engineering and AI architecture
  • Strong foundation in Machine Learning basics Evaluation Training Problem Decomposition
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python TypeScript PySpark
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry and AIP
  • Strong coding experience and ability to deliver production solutions with Gen AI data processing pipelines and advanced analytics tools
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between 150,000 - $ 160,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
