Testing Center of Excellence Manager (Hybrid - Columbia, SC)
The Testing Center of Excellence (CoE) Manager is responsible for establishing standardized testing frameworks, standardizing process documentation, and leveraging modern tools and test automation to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products. They are a leader in standards for quality assurance, skilled in managing multi-disciplinary teams, and experienced in CI/CD integration, systems integration testing, automation testing, performance testing, testing strategies, and governance.
What You'll Do
- Manage the development of and maintenance of end-to-end testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Manage and implement metrics-driven approaches to track test effectiveness and quality improvements.
- Manage and oversee the test planning, execution, and reporting across all stages of the software development lifecycle (Alpha, Beta, Integration, Dev, UAT).
- Manage resource allocation for testing activities to ensure optimal efficiency and ensure test environments are correctly configured, maintained, and scheduled.
- Drive defect management processes, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.
- Manage all testing team types for functional and non-functional, integration, regression, automation, performance, load, and some security testing according to industry and the needs of the AgFirst suite of applications.
- Lead and ma nage a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Manage the reporting of metrics and automation executions to teams and leaders.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- At least eight (8) years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and test automation tools.
- Expertise in testing tools such as SmartBear, Load Runner, ACCELQ, or similar.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., .Net) and version control systems like Git.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
