HR Compliance Manager

Job Summary: The HR Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our HR policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the areas of HR or Legal compliance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):



  • Develop and implement HR compliance policies and procedures to ensure that the organization is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of HR practices to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that employees understand and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints related to HR compliance, and work with internal stakeholders to resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop and manage compliance project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and communication plans
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to relevant laws and regulations, and ensure that HR policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and investigations related to HR compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that HR compliance initiatives are integrated into the organization's overall strategy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need (Qualifications):



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal or HR compliance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to HR, including but not limited to Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and OSHA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with HR systems and technologies (e.g. HRIS, applicant tracking systems, performance management systems, etc.)
  • Professional certification in HR compliance (e.g. SPHR, SHRM-SCP, etc.) is a plus.
