DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this vital role, work involves creating and managing inclusive and accessible high-quality digital content; developing social media strategies and tactics that align and support the Commission's goals and branding standards; ensuring excellent digital constituent experiences; and, working with third-party marketing firms to maximize opportunities for agency digital success. The Social Media Coordinator effectively communicates the PFBC mission, vision, and values along with the importance of PFBC programs. Responsibilities include creating, capturing and managing high-quality digital content, including but not limited to: video and audio assets, photography, creative graphics, digital marketing and advertising. You will have the opportunity to develop social media strategies and tactics, manage the Commission's social media channels, and create and maintain content calendars. Communication is key as you obtain and review user-generated content and respond to questions and concerns expressed on social media platforms by the public, partners, and other constituents. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional communications experience and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have at least two years of professional social media communications experience.
- You must have at least two years of professional experience creating, curating, and managing high-quality and accessible digital content, including but not limited to: video and audio assets, photography, creative graphics, digital marketing and advertising (including integrating user generated content).
- You must have at least two years of experience developing social media plans and calendars for at least one business/agency.
- You must have professional experience managing a website, including copy writing for web/blog platforms.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
