GENERAL SUMMARY: Position is the main focal point of the Wax, Investing, and casting departments and takes direction from the operations manager. The purpose of this position is to manage the day-to-day activities of the respective departments and to plan, organize, direct and control the operation of the department so that it performs efficiently and effectively. SCHEDULE: Incumbent will work a schedule that supports all weekend shifts in the 24/7 department. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years experience in a manufacturing industry, supervisory experience, and AA degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience required. BS degree in engineering preferred. Preference given to individuals trained in Lean Manufacturing and 6-Sigma. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand and walk within the manufacturing facility. Ability to communicate, write, type, use and operate office and department/s equipment. Ability to exert up to seventy-five pounds of force to move objects (lift up to 35lbs). Ability to work in conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
