Pharmacy Liaison - MUMH - FT

General Summary of Position

The Pharmacy Liaison is responsible for assisting the Bedside Delivery Technician with all non-dispensing aspects of medication deliveries to discharge patients and MedStar employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Gathering Rx's and obtaining patient consent, coordination with bedside technicians, prescription delivery, and handling of payment transactions via mobile device.
• Assisting with the non-dispensing functions in the pharmacy including, answering the phone; gathering patient's information for the intake process for new and refill prescription request; handling the pickup area; and performing payment transactions, as well as maintaining the OTC area; delivering or picking up, mail to the mail room; and restocking pharmacy supplies.
• Acts as liaison with pharmacy operations to maintain high level of service to customers, following all service-related issues through to resolution.
• Works collaboratively with bedside technician to ensure productive workflow and reconcile patient's prescriptions approved for delivery.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
Education

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required

Experience

• 1-2 years Established work history in a customer service role. cashier experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service skills, and basic computer skills required.
• Must be highly productive, organized, and comfortable engaging with patients, family members, and healthcare providers.
• Adept at building trust and relationships.

This position has a hiring range of $17.5 - $28.73
