Under general direction of the Financial and Administrative Officer and the general supervision of the Department Chair, the incumbent will provide administrative support in areas of general office operations and Dept Chair support. Areas of responsibility include assisting Dept Chair and APSU unit with coordination of various academic personnel matters including compiling accomplishments for data entry. Provides administrative support to Department Chair as needed, including managing the dept chair's calendar, coordinating and attending meetings, overseeing faculty recruitments, graduate and undergraduate ceremonies. Other general office tasks include updating the department's website, managing room reservations, overseeing dept special misc. events, printing requests and poster printing and creation. This position serves as a backup to the travel assistant. The incumbent must be able to maintain confidentiality and have exceptional interpersonal skills as well as have demonstrated experience in working well with diversified staff, faculty and students.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. The full salary range for the Administrative Coordinator is $28.44 - $40.76 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $29.07 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. |
