Primary Responsibilities:

This role will serve as a technical lead on the team to build new and enhance existing analytical products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Lead and develop a team of analysts to build new and enhance existing analytical products, incorporating predictive modeling, prioritization, innovative reporting, and subject-matter expertise
  • Expand business use cases for the analytics model
  • Mentor and coach 1 or 2 direct reports
  • Initiate and structure long-term and recurring projects
  • Integrate disparate data with health care and government policy knowledge to develop and communicate sound business recommendations to leaders throughout the organization
  • Build strong relationships across the organization, including with finance, IT, product, actuarial/underwriting, clinical, and operations teams
  • Continually reevaluate and reimagine operational metrics and reporting
  • Translate highly complex concepts into understandable terms for various audiences, including senior leaders
  • Initiate and foster unique and innovative solutions and ideas

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of professional experience in developing analytical solution using techniques such as machine learning, text mining/analysis, simulations, etc.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with large/complex data manipulation, cleansing, storage, and reporting
  • 3+ years of experience communicating analytic results to stakeholders and demonstrated experience presenting to senior leaders
  • 3+ years of experience with Python
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience leading analytical staff



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with Medicare Advantage products or the healthcare industry
  • Command of data storage theory and design
  • Spark skills
  • Critical thinker- this position will need to evaluate merits of new and innovative ideas and make sound decisions
  • Self-motivated and demonstrates an innate ability to absorb new concepts, technical frameworks, program paradigms while employing them creatively to solve complex analytical problems
  • Solid Relationship building skills with internal and practice teams to drive goal alignment

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
