Maintenance Planner

SUMMARY:

The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling of maintenance activities on all plant equipment. This includes continual improvement in all key maintenance indicators. This position will work closely with Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse and Maintenance crafts (both internal and third party). This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:





  1. Planning (80-90%):



  • Work with Plant Operations to determine job scope and equipment availability
  • Determine if support crafts (ex. scaffolding) are needed & coordinate
  • Determine if special equipment or tools are needed (manlifts, rentals, etc)
  • Provide duration and craft man-hour estimates
  • Determine materials availability (Inventory vs. Purchased)
  • Manage Preventative Maintenance Work Orders in SAP(CMMS)
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Engineer or Project Engineer, if work requires MOC.
  • Submit purchase requests for materials and services
  • Monitor inventory to determine when all materials have been received
  • Work with Purchasing to expedite when necessary
  • Coordinate refurbishment to spare equipment
  • Assist with kitting parts once job is scheduled
  • Add and update comments and statuses in SAP(CMMS)



II. Scheduling (10-20%):




  • Facilitate daily maintenance scheduling meeting
  • Update work order status in SAP(CMMS)
  • Distribute daily maintenance schedule



Planner/Scheduler Secondary Responsibilities:



  • Field verify work order status when needed
  • Assist with performing physical inventory counts
  • Other duties as assigned.




























These experiences are deemed to be beneficial, but not necessarily all essential:



  • Ability to produce Isometric Drawings
  • Experience with lifting/rigging equipment
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation
  • Basic knowledge of Predictive Technologies
  • Basic knowledge of Precision Maintenance


Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:



  • SAP, or other CMMS, experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 10+ years in petrochemical/chemical manufacturing facility
  • 5+ years Maintenance planning experience
  • Expert mechanical and machinery knowledge
  • Strong computer skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative Maintenance Department
