POSITION SUMMARY:

A full-time dayshift Material Handling Technician position within RDI Centralized Services, providing material handling support for the Research, Development & Innovation team. This role is responsible for managing all material flow activities for RD&I at the Garofalo site. This position interfaces with RDI employees and 3rd party logistics providers regularly.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Manage incoming and outgoing material.
*Coordinate loads to and from off-site storage locations.
*Maintain detailed records of materials flowing in & out of RDI
*Effectively uses material handling equipment.
*Follows test methods and/or work instructions.
*Maintains an organized and clean work environment.
*Consistently follows ergonomic and safety procedures.
*Work effectively as a team member and manage multiple priorities independently.
*Must be able to work the occasional flexible hours to support material handling needs (typical shift is 7:00am - 3:30pm).
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
*2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
*Experience moving material with powered industrial vehicles (i.e. forklifts and pallet jacks).
*PIT Forklift and Walkie-Rider license required.
*General knowledge and use of computers and basic software (i.e. Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
*Strong interest and basic aptitude to work in a technical or scientific field (willingness to learn and operate new software and equipment).
*Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds, perform tasks requiring repetitive motion, stand for long periods, and occasionally required to bend/stoop, and kneel.
*Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to access and understand information via systems/reports to determine appropriate action required (WMS, MES, BAAN, etc.).
*Ability to read and communicate via e-mail the status of invoices, packing slips, and loads with RDI employees.
*Detail orientated with good organizational, communication, and customer focus skills.
*Working knowledge of Andersen products.
*Able to operate shop equipment (miter saw, tables saws, and drills).
COMPENSATION: Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $27.25 - $39.55.

PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
