We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Analyst, Commercial Analytics. This role will provide analytic support for Small Law deal review and approval, as well as contribute to key initiatives designed to drive and optimize revenue growth. This role will provide expertise in all aspects of the deal review process, including: review and dispositioning of requests for special price or commercial consideration, reporting around key performance indicators, policy recommendations to optimize revenue and process enhancements to drive deal velocity. This role will also assist with key analyses to support ongoing Small Law revenue optimization. The successful candidate will possess a blend of curiosity, ability to successfully interact with multiple individuals across the organization, review information and provide recommendations at pace, and proven success analyzing volumes of data and providing meaningful and actionable insights to senior leaders. About the Role In this opportunity as a Senior Analyst, Commercial Analytics, you will:
- Successfully Review and Process SLF Deals Needing Commercial Consideration: Along with other team members, share queue review, process requests with an eye to aligning with the long term SLF commercial strategy vision, ensuring the proper elements are considered and prioritized:
- Analyze requests, determine financial and customer impact; make appropriate decision
- Work with cross-functional partners to gain additional input where necessary
- Assist in supporting the long term SLF pricing vision by developing and supporting key pricing related strategies and methodologies related to exceptions and pricing policy
- Develop effective partnerships across internal groups to ensure alignment on revenue and product visions as it pertains to key commercial deal levers; elevate key issues to leaders as appropriate. Key constituents include: Sales, Client Management, Finance, Operations, Commercial Excellence, various systems teams and senior leaders in SLF.
- Provide input on process improvements to reduce exceptions volume, provide process efficiency or improve revenue optimization
- Work with team members to create insights and recommendations
- Successfully deploy and track improvements
- Assist with review of non-compliant orders and audits as required
- Leverage analytical expertise to provide analysis and recommendations on key analytic initiatives related to policy improvement, commercial insights, product migration and upsell initiatives and other initiatives as prioritized.
About You You're a fit for the role of Senior Analyst, Commercial Analytics if your background includes:
- Commercial and Business Acumen:
- 5+ years of experience in a commercial, revenue management or transactional or strategic pricing role, with a track record of success in detailed analytic work
- Direct and relevant experience in reviewing, assessing and determining the proper commercial decisions to make on an individual customer basis
- Ability to construct and perform segmentation analysis and reporting, including data sourcing and data mining leading to key insight development
- Understanding of core marketing and financial principles underlying the price/value relationship
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong financial acumen
- Ways of Working:
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced and time sensitive environment
- Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally with individuals and teams
- Experience using Tableau, Alteryx and/or PowerBI to analyze large volumes of data, draw insights, make appropriate recommendations and track to results.
- Ability to manage multiple action items and work cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders to gain agreement on exceptions to standard business and ordering policy
- Ability to relate to all levels of management across Marketing, Sales and Finance
- High energy and 'can-do' attitude with ability to meet tight deadlines
- Comfortable working individually and in a team environment with changing priorities and time pressures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $72,100 - $133,900.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
