About our Internship Program
This dynamic, internship is designed for students interested in exploring the healthcare industry. Interns will gain exposure to multiple projects including Azure Cloud Integration layer, Microservices, Enterprise Data Hub, Power Platform and Dynamics 365. Through hands-on projects, mentorship, and networking, interns will develop skills that prepare them for careers in healthcare, consulting, and data-driven decision-making.
You Will
As a Summer Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain experience across our IT organization, Potential work assignments could include projects such as:
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND DATA ENGINEERING- 50%
* Build APIs using Azure native cloud services against Azure Data Fabric.
* Develop and implement microservices to enhance system functionality and performance.
* Work on the integration of various systems and data sources into an Enterprise Data Hub.
* Work on power platform as part of the Cloud integration layer team.
* Develop testing strategies and frameworks to validate the correctness and robustness of software systems through unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
* Explore and experiment with novel approaches in data engineering, such as data pipeline
optimization and real-time data processing.
* Leverage APIs effectively for integration purposes and develop custom APIs and plug-ins to extend functionality.
* Ensure systems comply with ethical guidelines, privacy regulations, and legal requirements, addressing concerns related to data security, privacy, and compliance.
COLLABORATION AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES - 20%
* Participate in strategic research discussions.
* Support project planning, execution and analyses.
* Assist in preparation of presentations.
CAPSTONE PROJECT - 30%
* Conducts a special project based on real-time business opportunities.

Your Qualifications:
We're looking for candidates who have:
* Currently enrolled in MBA degree program: Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
* Expertise with Microsoft Azure, especially Azure Event Hub, Data Fabric and Azure Event Hub, Azure Function.
* Ability to develop and integrate APIs.
* Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact both inside and outside the organization.
* Committed to continuous improvement in a dynamic industry.
* Flexible and willing to handle an ever-changing work environment.
* Willingness to learn & have passion for healthcare.

* Location: Remote/hybrid, with potential opportunities to visit SCAN's headquarters.
