The Manager Data Analytics is responsible for leading a team of analysts in developing data-driven insights. This role ensures the effective use of data to improve efficiencies and optimize processes through data-driven decision-making.

I. Major Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis & Reporting:
* Oversees the collection, validation, and analysis of data to support decision-making.
* Develops and maintains dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Conducts trend analysis, forecasting, and predictive modeling to support planning and performance improvement initiatives.
* Ensures data integrity and accuracy in all reporting and analysis processes.
2. Strategic Business & Clinical Insights:
* Collaborates with leadership, finance, clinical teams, and IT to identify analytical needs and provide actionable insights.
* Supports quality improvement initiatives by analyzing various metrics.
* Uses data to identify inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
* Provides insights on healthcare trends, reimbursement models, and regulatory changes impacting operations.
3. Analytics Project Management & Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
* Leads and oversees analytics projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
* Works closely with departments to integrate data analytics into operational and strategic decision-making.
* Establishes best practices for data governance, standardization, and reporting.
* Fosters a data-driven culture across departments to enhance decision-making.
4. Technology & Process Optimization:
* Oversees the integration and optimization of data analytics tools and platforms.
* Collaborates with IT and other areas to improve data access, system performance, and analytics capabilities.
* Identifies opportunities to automate reporting and streamline data collection processes.

II. Position Qualifications:
License/ Certification/Education:
Required:
1. Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Preferred:
1. Master's degree.

Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. 5+ years of experience in healthcare data analytics, business intelligence, or revenue cycle analytics.
2. Demonstrated leadership experience.
3. Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Python).
4. Experience with Epic EHR reporting tools (e.g. Clarity, Caboodle) and business intelligence platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, or Web Intelligence).
5. Familiarity with healthcare finance, revenue cycle processes, patient outcomes analysis, and/or regulatory reporting.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders, including executives and clinical teams.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
1. Strong understanding of healthcare quality metrics, reimbursement models (e.g. DRG, APC, Capitation), and regulatory compliance (e.g. CMS, HIPAA).
2. Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics.
3. Knowledge of cost containment strategies and performance improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
4. Previous experience working with healthcare operations, finance, or clinical quality improvement teams.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
