Job Summary:

This position is on the Plan Program Integrity Medicare Drug Integrity Contract (PPI MEDIC), which provides oversight of Part C and Part D plan sponsor FWA efforts. Responsible for the overall project management functions. Provides leadership, coordination and management of processes and functions. Leads the team that provides project management support and business analysis skills to all business units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:



  • Accountable to program sponsors for schedule, budget, and quality of all program elements; escalates decisions to program sponsors as necessary.
  • Develop strategies on projects with the focus on providing the best possible outcome
  • Establish and execute project schedules for all phases of work
  • Communicate project key objectives, critical path milestones, and overall project status to stakeholders and/or Executive Management
  • Assists with oversight of contractual requirements; maintaining a working knowledge of customer needs and contract requirements, deliverables, resource requirements, budget monitoring and adheres to cost projections, and operational efficiencies
  • Manage and oversee all phases of a project from concept to delivery, including but not limited to requirements documentation, testing, design, and implementation
  • Manage the demands of calendar commitments between all project schedules
  • Mentor, motivate, provide leadership, and manage to staff.



Supervisory Responsibilities:



  • Manages employees in the operational area.
  • Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Required Experience

Education and/or Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience and at least 4 years of management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiar with a variety of the project management concepts, best practices, and procedures; including vast experience managing delivery, scope, and risks throughout the lifecycle of a project.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements over a wide stakeholder community.
  • A broad knowledge of, and experience in, different methods of Systems Development Life Cycle.



Computer Skills:



  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications, including Project Management Software. Experience in both Agile ad Waterfall desired.



Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:



  • PMP certification and/or Six Sigma-type certification preferred.
