Short Description

Provides administrative support to the Assistant Vice Presidents and the Hospital Operations department. Has excellent communication skills, has attention to detail and is very organized. Possesses critical thinking skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the day-to-day activities for the AVP's and the department. Has excellent communication skills, attention to detail and organizational skills.
    Provides calendar support, telephone messages, coordinates meetings and demos, secures conference room space and catering for Assistant Vice Presidents.
  • Anticipates changes and acts proactively to keep Assistant Vice Presidents informed of operational issues and/or challenges.
  • Serves as a role model by exemplifying a high level of customer service both internally and externally.
  • Shows compassion to co-workers, patients, and families by taking the time to listen, understand, respond and provide assistance as appropriate.
  • Has a positive "can do" spirit and takes pride in their work.
  • Communicates, supports and collaborates within the department and with other departments in the organization.
  • Responsible for ordering offices supplies and equipment needed for the department.
  • Acts as liaison with Human Resources, communicates and assists with onboarding as needed.
  • Works with purchasing and accounts payable as it relates to processing requisitions, contracts, invoices, new vendors as needed.

Experience Required

0-2 years of experience, 3-5 years of experience preferred.

Skills/Qualifications

Communication - Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and coworkers
Computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio and Publisher


Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
