This role will be responsible for communicating via several methods and at times simultaneously by phone, land mobile radio or in-person dialogue. This individual interacts with numerous site agencies as well as with aircrew and will function as a focal for relaying emergency response notifications to the workforce. The ideal candidate is an organized, well-spoken and detail-oriented professional able to function in a dynamic, fast-paced and stressful work environment. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Conducts daily aircraft Maintenance Operations Control duties in accordance with the performance work statement (PWS). * Monitors and coordinates sortie production, maintenance production, and execution of the flying and maintenance schedules while maintaining visibility of fleet health indicators. * Through coordination with Maintenance Production, tracks priorities for competing limited resources based on daily flying schedule and maintenance priorities. * Tracks and reports aircraft mission capability status and the locations of each assigned aircraft on station, undergoing depot, transient aircraft or any other assigned aircraft in accordance with the PWS. * Updates Maintenance Information Systems (MIS). Maintains visual aids (electronic or manual) to show the status and location of each aircraft on station, maintained or supported by the site in accordance with the PWS. * Coordinates on changes to the flying schedule with applicable agencies using customer source documents or systems. * Coordinates on all aircraft engine runs and all aircraft ground movements conducted by maintenance personnel. * Assists in the development of, implements, and maintains functional checklists. * Receives technical guidance from Managers, Supervisors, Expediters, Leads and/or higher-level technicians as required. * May be required to obtain and maintain special certifications as directed by management. * Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to completed maintenance, enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make entries in forms, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required. * May be required to perform weed removal and general clean-up of facilities assigned to the organization in accordance with the performance work statement. Requirements may include sweeping, mopping, use of floor cleaning machine etc. * May perform vehicle use inspections, cleaning and wash duties. * Must complete all assignments and other related duties as assigned by Managers, Supervisors, Expediters or Leads Page 2 of 2 Qualifications and Experience: * High School diploma or GED is required. * Minimum of 6 years' experience in an aircraft maintenance unit environment or coordinating aircraft maintenance activities is required. * Must speak, read, write, and understand English. * Must be able to work first, second or third shift to include weekends. * Must deal with the customer and company employees in a courteous, professional and effective manner. * Must be reliable, self-motivated and able to multi-task and deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude. * Must possess a working knowledge of USAF MIS systems, forms documentation and strict adherence and use of aircraft technical data is mandatory. * Must be able to obtain/maintain the security clearance level as mandated by the government customer. * Must possess a current valid U.S. Driver's License. * May be required to obtain, maintain a government driver's license. If controlled movement area (CMA) access is required, individuals must pass a color vision test. * Must have a working knowledge of computers (input/extract data) and basic computer software programs such as Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Excel. * Position requires complying with unique commuting/travel requirements. Working Conditions: * Environment ranges from office to hangar and flight line and requires extensive sitting, climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. * Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of running equipment and aircraft. * Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties. * Must be able and willing to meet OSHA, DCMA or additional industrial requirements including, hearing test, vision test to include color vision, respirator fit test and blood draw etc. to ensure workplace safety standard compliance. * May be subjected to no-notice drug testing surveillance per Company policy or Customer's direction to ensure a drug-free work environment.
