Rx Refill Specialist - PN Centralized Medication Refill Clinic - Full Time - 8 Hour - Days

• Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program - Required or will consider a training program in an outpatient pharmacy setting or

• Completion of Medical Assistant Program - Accredited - Required

Experience:

• 3 years' Medication refill and prior authorization processing - Required

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) - Required

• 3 years' Experience in Pharmacy - Preferred

Certifications/Licensures:

• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required

• Certificate of completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program ORPharmacy Tech license in good standing- California Board of Pharmacy Required

• CPhT Pharmacy Technician - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board - Preferred

Skills:

• It is a requirement of this position that the employee be available to work some weekend shifts based on operational needs but a minimum of one weekend shift per month may be required.

• Knowledge of various medication classes including but not limited to antihypertensives, antidiabetics and diabetic supplies, statins, and antidepressants.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Typing and computer proficiency skills - Required
