About the Role

The Legal Analyst Role is responsible for assisting in the provision of legal services to the business, focusing on
employment law, general litigation and corporate matters. Works closely with management, in house and outside counsel, as well as internal clients across all brands and departments.

Responsibilities



  • Help scale processes for the Legal team by creating and maintaining internal templates, guidelines, and playbooks
  • Assist in consumer pre-litigation disputes, including gathering relevant materials and preparing draft responses to litigation threats
  • Assist with ediscovery, legal holds and document preservation, including analyzing discovery requests, third-party subpoenas, and regulatory agency requests, fact gathering, collecting relevant documents and information, documenting ediscovery efforts, and managing ediscovery processes
  • Supporting the Legal team as needed to investigate and respond to attorney demand letters and administrative requests for information
  • Maintaining a library of pre-approved form documents, contract clauses, templates, and historical documents, and add or revise material as needed
  • Reviewing marketing assets for compliance with legal guidelines and standards and providing support on marketing and advertising materials.
  • Draft basic legal documents and correspondence as directed by attorneys, including settlement agreements, document retention notices, and response letters
  • Assist with corporate filings including preparing and managing meeting minutes, oversight of entity-level state filings, and oversight of compliance with charity law regulations
  • Performing other legal and operational tasks as required to execute business priorities



Criteria



  • Knowledge of and experience with general office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work within a team, with strong client relationship skills
  • Personality to work well with members of the business and non-legal professional
  • Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and high attention to detail; ability to manage many projects with firm deadlines
  • Ideal candidates should have the ability to work independently, communicate effectively, efficiently handle a shifting workload, and analyze complex situations.
  • A four-year college degree is preferred.
  • This role requires being onsite in our San Francisco office Monday through Thursday

The expected starting pay range for this position is 72,700-$83,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
